Hey folks!
I recently posted an instrumental vesion of this song and here is the version with vocals.
I'm not sure if i'm pleased with how it turned out or not. I really feel that the clean vocal at the end is a bit weak. It's been a long time since i last actually sang.
I mainly just scream:rock:
Oh... I also re-recorded the guitars.
Please tell me what you think.

not bad, but the vocals are not my cup of tea, sometimes I think deep death metal grunts would match the song better and the "screams" are ok, but I think the music itself is better than the vocals.

StefTD: I realize this kind of vocal style isn't for everyone:) And I do agree that the music is better than the vocals. I had a pretty hard time to come up with decent vocal lines and I will probably redo them later,

Andrea:::Shank: Thanks man! I apreciate it. So you think the vocals are too high in the mix? Hmmm, I allways mix them too low and decided to avoid burying them this time, but maybe I went too far?
I'd be happy to tell me my setup, but what do you mean? guitars, bass, drums or vocals?

very nice!!!!! reminds me of some gothenburg metal  really good work! only criticism would be to re-record the clean vocals, you don't even have a bad voice at all, but the beginning part of the clean vocals just sounds weak. but your screams throughout the song are killer!

sounds good man, i love the vox. the only critism i have is at the end with the cleans, the song could have more push at the end if you were to record some screaming over the top of the singing, maybe too generic, but with some screamer at the end the song could maintain its heavy vibe and finsih strong u know. anyway nice song and great job recording. can u list the gear you used that would be sweet, later

hi jackal, sorry for the late reply... anyway, i'd be especially interested in knowing about what guitar/amp/sound processing units you used

thanx!

andrea.

Voice is high in the mix....the rest is good man, i like the scream vocals, clean vocals are little out intonation...:kickass: :kickass:

Try compressing the vocals a bit more and add a bit of mid/topend with a BBE maximizer (on the vocaltrack), that way you can bring the vocals down without burying them. Also seems to be a timing (lagging) issue with the drums, it feels like the guitars were recorded first. But I really would like to know how you made your guitartone!

I will re-mix this song later and re-record the vocals, but I'm gonna let it be for a while so that my ears are fresh and rested when I return to it. The guitars are PodXt live, but unlike 90% of everone else I dont use the Bigbottom patch, but the diamond plate. There's three tracks of guitar on each side. Some Eq(cut below 70hz and above 12khz), andy's C4 settings(yes I've tweaked them to fit my guitartone:)).
And as far as the clean vocals are concerned... hey, I can only get better right?;)

That does it. I'm gonna get me one.

There not that bad, just a bit on their own (for my taste).
