DFHS and free Drum replacer

A: Is DFHS wayyyyy more useful for metal drums than DFH?
B: Has anyone had luck with this free replacer? http://www.boxsounds.com/vst.html Does drumagogue beat this hands down?

im sure it does thats why you have to pay for drumagog and the one you mention......i hate to break it down like that but you really do get what you pay for

Superior is multi mic'd kids 100% dry with full bleeding.

DKFH 1 is pre processed Samples with no bleed and will pretty much sound fake as shit!

Confused. Does windows version have a sample output or something?

I usually turn the hits into midi and dump them into a separate sampler. A little more of a pain in the ass but it works. I demo'd aptrigga and was really unimpressed (but most demos are).

Ive got DFH 2 and it seems shite so far....

The cymbols are aight but the drums just sound so crap. When I mic a snare it sounds normal, the samples on DFH2 are just wierd IMO and the snares are tuned way to fucking high. So gonna have to agree plus kontact or whatever the VSTi that DFH2 works on it crap. I only use it when I need it, and it's not to often anymore.
