A great American, SIXXSWINE, turned me on to these guys and I gotta say they are great. The Metallica covered songs are a given but they have some EXCELLENT tracks which the bay area bashers didn't touch. Anyone looking for some true old school metal should seek these guys' stuff out!

Yes, sir they were the shit. Why they weren't huge is beyond me. They should have been worldwide like Priest or Maiden. That disc Behold the Beginning is their first release with a bonus cut added to it. What a classic record that is...
Glad you dug it.
Thanks for helping me rediscover the Misfits. Great memories when I poped those discs in.

When you look at it, it's actually quite easy to understand why bthey didn't make it. The second album only has 5 new original songs on it, and compared to the first album they're quite naff (the first song is kinda cool though :loco: ). Then there was the thing about a cockup at the factory that meant that the first 20,000 copies of Canterbury jumped...by then the record company had convinced the band to ditch the original rhythm section and hearts weren't really into it. I also heard that they were managed by their singer's mum, who turned down a deal from a big record company because she'd never heard of them before :(

It's a damn pity that Diamond Head didn't last...I mean they're knocking around still but the profile's nowhere near as high, eh? Might be worth seeing if I can find more of their shit...

Yes Diamond Head is great band inspired lot's of thrash bands from the US. Metallica/Megadeth etc.

But doesn't Diamond Head sounds very much like the conbined faster version of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and UFO ( Schenker era )?

"Sucking My Love" this song is my favorite.

I have been meaning to get an album from this band forever and I just keep putting it off. I am gonna have to do it soon. I already know I am gonna like them. Can't wait to add some more classics to my collection.
