Dio news!

Well after consulting my Deep Purple Tour Programme of 1984 which has one of Pete Frames Rock Family Trees in it . the Reformed Rainbow could be as follows:
Ronnie Dio , Ritchie Blackmore, (bit hard to leave him out ) Bob Daisley , Gary Driscoll (Drums ) or BobbY Rondelli, But the is unlikey that Ritchie will get out of the Middle Ages and come back and play some Rock n Roll.

Stevo , Bob Daisley is an Aussie is'nt he - thats what I allways thought , be lovely to meet the guy as he has played some of the Greatest, Garry Moore, Ozzy, Sabbath, Rainbow, etc .

... and you're right. He is.

He lived in England for years, then in the US. After the passing of his mother he decided to move back to Australia.

Doug FKN Aldrich!

this guy is a mad man. an incredible player.

he has recently played in a band called burning rain - blasting blues metal.

Great stuff.

If anyone has followed DIO you will have noticed a shift in style over strange highways and angry machines - to my mind, a total lack of focus and this was due to an idiot called tracy G. Tracy fked dio totally, live he was shocking.

mmm, its gonna be very interesting to see what doug brings to the table.

I bought Live Inferno that had him playing on it, I thought it was some kind of joke....the guitar playing SUCKED.

No offense to the poor guy, as he can play better than me, but at least im only torturing myself and not 5000 people a night :)

 I love that album.

Magica was too slow, wasn't it. That's why I got bored with it so quickly.
Angry Machines just sucks.
Strange Highways rocks imo. Much better than Lock Up The Wolves.

Last In Live simply rules! I'm sorry guys, but this album just does something for me, I don't know what it is but I love it.

No need to apologise! Heres a little story for you: A man was seeing a woman, but she was a bad girl and everyone could see it.... Everyone but the man dating her! He couldnt understand why everyone disliked her, but in the end he knew it didnt matter because they were happy and thats what counts!

See Sydo? YOU are that woman!

.......waitasec, thats not right :)

Dont worry Sydo, bad girls are the most fun! Heres a story for you:

There once was a man dating a quiet shy woman, noone else could understand why, but when they were alone she changed completely and was the most *amazing* sex of his life.

See Sydo? THAT cd is the best sex of your life!

Ahhh whats the point, ive descended into a cliched hack episode of the Nanny 3 seasons after they should have ended it now..... You have seen it all before and can see the "jokes" coming a mile away :D

And you're only slightly less annoying. ;)

Yeah, I agree strange highways is a great cd, also because jeff pilson from dokken played bass on it.

But I think tracy G took Dio to an almost industro metal state, unlike (God) Vivian Campbell. The thing that kills me is that on the live cd tracy does his own solos - those old tunes had total trademark solo's - the last in line, Heaven and hell for godsake. No pun intented.

however if anyone has heard a band called WW11, with a guy called mandy lion on vocals - tracy ripps on it.

Anyways I am hoping Aldrich will deliver the true metal goods.
