Fantastic band, I'm still gutted they split. Omnio and Strange In Stereo rule. X Botteri has an awesome melodic touch, and I love Jan's vocals. The first Green Carnation album was cool too (alot of it being written by X)

green carnation is absolutely fantastic. whereas in the woods is just fantastic..

"Heart of the Ages" is an absolut masterpiece. It has always been in my favourites. They just have a magic, an atmosphere connected with their name. They have also created a mystery, a darkness around their creation. Inside their songs, you can also see how good musicians they are.

I've never listened to Green Carnation. I'm afraid to do it, but i heard they sound like earlier In The Woods.

if you enjoy old in the woods and if you can listen to 60 min long songs.. well then do try out green carnation`s 'light of day, day of darkness', it definitely worths it.

Get their first album, "Journey to the end of the night", it is basically a more METAL version of ITW, X Botteri wrote alot of it.
