I decided to download this album since it's so hard to find. I was wondering, was this an attempt to be more commercial in the 90's? No offense meant, but it just seemed that way to me. It has some really cool songs, but overall I like the stuff with Harry and Chain Of Command more.

No, it wasn't an attempt at commercial success.

The input of the 2 other band members (Chris Kosta and Daniel Conca) had an impact on the sound.

I've always believed that anyone joining the band should be able to contribute thier ideas and style to the music. Both of those guys contributed heavily to the sound of 'Dissident'.

I've always liked bands that sounded different with a different lineup. Black Sabbath is a great example. Dio with Sabbath sound nothing like Ozzy with Sabbath. I think that you should sound different when you have different members. It's an honest approach to music.
