Distortion Pedals

Sorry, but Marshall makes HORRIBLE tube ampifiers. They're all mass produced, cheapest-grade-they-can-find, junk.

There are a couple of companies that make modifciation boards for Marshalls, but you take out the old one and throw it completely away.

Marshalls use diodes for distortion, like a cheap $20 pedal.

The only thing you get when you buy a Marshall is the Marshall name.

Their last good amp was made over 25 years ago. They haven't point-to-point wired since the early 70's. The 800's are okay, but only reallly good unless you mod the hell out of them.

Anything else isn't worth the money, IMO.

Spend the money on a Bogner or Soldano. You won't regret it, and your tone will be 100x better.

I use a Peavey 5150 II or a Peavey transtube, preferebly the double xl, I am looking to buy the Triple XL, great amp. Don't buy a distortion pedal, it is a waste of metal, IMO if you can;t get the sound you want out of a crappy amp like a Transtube, then don't bother:p
