Agreed 100%. i hate brian faire's vocals, but the music is awesome. have you heard anything off of their first album thought? Thats with their old vocalist, who isn't as bad, in my opinion. The first album actually comes close to a melodic death metal album, and its pretty good.

I hate the Dracula schtick that guy has, and besides the saturated guitar tones, I actually like most of their music.

Granted, most of them suck but a select few aren't THAT bad.

People are too hard on nu-metal imo. Probably just because it used to be such a huge intrusion on what metal really is/was and gave it a bad name. But the fad is dying quite a bit and some of the bands are maturing. LIke I said previously, I like some of Disturbed's new stuff. Not much other nu-metal I can think of.....but then again, everyone has a different opinion of what nu-metal is.

Back in the day it was brutal. Their were new bands every day. The worst nu-metal band ever is Vanilla Ice. Holy shit. It is the most contrived nu-metal trash i've ever heard in my life. I don't know how my gay friend Steve listens to it. Rough.

Im sorry, nu-metal is garbage. I cant get into it at all. I think its the overall lack of skill or technical ability. Also, I hate it because people who listen to mallcore say shit like "Yeah, this [enter mallcore band here] is good, but I like it REALLY hard! Yeah, I listen to [enter nu-metal here] and they are brutal!" I think after hearing enough of that crap and seeing the media hype they get by the media pushing onto MTV brainwashed kids, I get sick and dont want to hear any of it.

Disturbed is one of the most mediocre bands around...I loathe them..i hate the sound they have i hate the fast talking vocals..i HATE FAST TALKING VOCALS! it sounds like rap almost!

However, I do think that there are a couple nu-metal bands that aren't bad and that i can listen to. For instance, Mushroomhead, they're actually pretty interesting.

i think its such a shame that David Draiman is in such a bad band... cuz i really really like his singing voice, especially from what i have heard on the latest album... its a shame that is talent is wasted in that crappy band...

IMO, this last album kicked ass, Disturbed kicks ass.
