No not everyone is like that,razoredge.I like old Dream Theather and KSE and both are hated by people on here.I just don't care for Disturbed music.Everyone has opinions,and let them be that way.

I think I nailed it, I see little discussion about music itself just what sucks, whos "over-rated", bla bla bla. Whats gotta suck the most is having such finite ears that seem continously bombarded with intolerable music.

I really cant think of any band that was around a long time or even past 3-4 recordings that did not begin to sound derived from previous work and typically release lesser impacting music. Why ? because you already heard it before, and heard it from them. In this discussion that might cover both DT and Disturbed or ____ {fill in the blank}.
Of this more recent style of heavy, commercially viable music, regardless the subgenre it technically falls under... I have enjoyed some: Disturbed, SOD, yes Nickleback, one Breaking Benjamin song, I played the hell out of Shinedown's "Leave a Whisper" for awhile as well as the the first Alter Bridge CD, second one didnt hit me as good for some reason, I liked what was played on radio by whatever the hell the band was called that the guys from Alter Bridge came from and many other various radio songs I cant remember the name of bands or songs. Its just music and if its cranking good on the radio cause thats whats on at the time, Im happy, doesnt mean Im going to buy it or that I have to buy it. I just dont have time or energy to spend "disliking" or worse yet "hating"... its fucking music for christ sakes. The stuff I do buy and can play non-stop for long periods as good as it is would drive most listeners crazy too.

I used to like Disturbed when they first came out because they had that perfect "colloquial" metal sound that I could play around non-metalheads and they'd enjoy it..Korn's self-titled is probably the only nu-metal CD I still play these days though.

I like Disturbed but there new stuff is lacking IMO. I went to one of there shows and it was really good better than what i thought it was gonna be. People will bash just about any band its a take it or leave it deal.
Yeah those bands are pretty cool, I love RATM's beastie boy sound, its fun.
Don't know why you wouldn't put SOAD in there. I think SOAD has to be one of the most important bands in all of metal.
... its easy because it is what it is... commercially marketable music from all the same backgrounds and influences local statis quoes on diffentials dont hide themselves very well
SOAD became famous to me because of their anti war and corrupted government song statues. Really interesting, enough to get everyone listening in.
The responce you quoted had nothing to do with System of a Down.
There has been plenty of politically charged music over the decades, much of which is more rational than SOADs ethnic one sided view that the world should tolerate the angry, violent, innocent civilian attacking, waring ways of their ancestors whos corrupt governmental systems make our own look like nun school.

OMG... its another "overrating", fucking "overratings" dont these people know ratings have to be just perfect ? not too much... not too little... especially not too much... once something is "rated" too much it becomes hard for people to live, to be able to deal, skin crawling, mind about to explode, apocalyptic... total devestation man !
