Every time I listen to this song at 13:25 it sounds so awkward. Was the pinch harmonic bleeding into the next section of the song done on purpose? Or was it just a mistake that was kept in there? It doesn't sound natural and kind of breaks the flow.

I think it was made on purpose, cool way to end the riff imo. I like how it blends with the single note "solo" that's played there.
