How would i go about making one? Any suggestions from anyone here?
I googled and found a few things, but would also like to hear from the guys here! Has anyone used one?

From all the clips I've heard, I'd rather use a good impulse of a 4x12 tbh! :/ Assuming you're talking about a 1x12 Iso box, one for a 4x12 would be most unprecedented :goggly:

I mixed a track for a band who recorded guitars in an iso-box. Sounded quite honky, but nice overall though. Much better recording than most attempts at a miced cab you hear.

Ive sound proofed the space under my stairs and its big enough to fit an ISO box / speaker coffin ,I wonder if it would make it sound a bit too boxy though... Ive heard (and I dont know how true this is ) that you can burn out your speaker voice coil if you drive it hard in an enclosed box. bullshit ??
Surely would allow me to record at all hours though .

I was talking about something like this: http://www.amptone.com/diyisobox.htm

I´ve never done or recorded one but that seems pretty damn easy to do, you should probably follow audiogeekzine´s advice and do something better than that foam though. Make sure it´s gonna sound right for you, as in see if anyone has clips of cabs through an iso box, although if your room is untreated it will most likely sound better than what you currently have anyway.

pssst... do as marcus said, try some impulses too :goggly:
