this krank is really weird..I love it with passives, not so much with actives though

I'm curious about this, did you notice the same thing with ENGL amps ? (sounding good with passives but "meh" with actives)

it's actually true for the blackmore IMO (and the savage as well)...Id go as far and say "for most amps with a marshally attack".
not really true for the ball-series though (which totally different amps than the blackmore/savages).
