DMG Audio : compassion

Just wondering if anyone around here uses it? Since Ermz recommended it to me I havn't used any EQ other the Equality in a long time, and I'm wondering if it'll be similar with the comp.

Just downloaded the demo, but was wondering if anyone else uses/used it?

Never tried it. A bit too involved/full featured for me. I like to crack open simpler compressors of various colors, rather than tweaking a single one to purpose endlessly.

I used Compassion over the course of two demo periods, but never fell in love with it. I love EQuality and use it as my main EQ plug, so I was excited for Compassion, but like Ermz, I didn't like the endless tweaking. While I could get Compassion to do pretty much anything (I don't think I've ever used a more versatile compressor), it didn't necessarily sound any better to me than my other compressor plugs, so I ultimately didn't pick it up.

From the looks of it and from demo I've tried, it really is the most tweak-able comp on the market. It requires deep understanding of its parameters tho, simple knob twisting is not enough. I'll admit it that I was too lazy to really dive into it, but it clearly is a really serious compressor.
