do you dare... list EVERY band you have seen live?

i've only seen a very small amount of bands....

Metallica
Five minutes to live (x5)
New world on fire (x2)
Green Day

Avenged Sevenfold
Thrice
Atreyu
AlexisonFire
Billy Talent
Dropkick Murphys
The Offspring
(this is all from Warped Tour... my buddies dragged me into this one)

and i missed Sounds of the Underground :( i'm so pissed... i had the ticket and everything...

you saw at the gates and emperor live? lucky fuck...

And Carcass. Lucky indeed. Also been a death and black metal fan for so long. It'd be a good idea I expect for me to replace my copies of Transylvanian Hunger and Blinded by Fear which are both over a decade old and are just worn out. But having seen those bands, I tell all to absolutely make sure to see your favorite bands live. Because the best bands always seem to break up, damnit.

sadly a short list

Opeth.
Extol.
Windermere.
Katatonia.
Mercenary :headbang:
Evergrey.
Metalica.
Queens of the Stongeage.
Björk.
Compos Mentis.
Saturnus.
Pilgrimz
Nightwish.
Sigur Ros
Volbeat.
Of the Wand and the Moon.

thats becuase good bands break up when they run out of steam, rather than releasing a bunch of crappy/experimental shit under the old band name that just pisses off all the old fans.

too long.

I didn't put the number of times I saw each band either...

Short but sweet.

Opeth (w/ Madder Mortem as support - first metal gig)
Dismember (w/ PSYCROPTIC and Anata! hell yes)
Nile (w/Dying Fetus and Man Must Die)

and Download Festival this year, with Caliban/Killswitch Engage/Mastodon/Shadows Fall/Slayer/Slipknot/System Of A Down.

Planning to see Dream Theater, Arcturus, Nevermore, Napalm Death, and Corrosion Of Conformity (and maybe Decapitated) in the next few months. Non metal wise, I've seen Nitin Sawhney, REM and Jeff Beck. Mr Beck was particularly bad ass, was only by chance that I got tickets...

WOAH... @ everyone's lists.

My poor effort (being an Australian and underage there aren't many cool bands to see except the big ones and some special concerts that bands put on):

All are x1 unless stated otherwise...

KISS x4
Metallica
Infernal Method
The Amenta
Daysend
Flesh Mechanic
Inane Eminence
Switchblade
Transcending Mortality
Omerata
Aeternus Dominion
Rather Be Dead
Coma Lies
Joe Satriani
Steve Vai
Lycanthia
Backyard Mortuary
Chaotic Impurity
M.S.I.
Kill For Satan
Intense Hammer Rage
Pod People
Destruktor
Stone Wings
Carbon
Alarum
Dungeon

About 90% of that list is comprised of Aussie metal bands (that I have watched for 45 minutes or more) at an all day/night + all ages festival.

Seeing CoB in October and some bands maybe some of you Wacken Open Air heads have heard of or seen:

Black Majesty
Eyefear (Danny Cecati, ex-Pegazus singer)
Vaninshing Point (I know they have played at Wacken!)

Yeah, It's a weak list, but when I'm 18 I'll go to soooooo many gigs. BECAUSE I HAVE MONEY TO BURRRRNN!

Well...I seen a bunch but only going to list the ones the either
are significant to me or worthy to mention.

Sky River Rock Festival- Sultan WA, 1968 (Santana, Muddy Waters...) Toooo young to give details.
Seattle Pop Festival- Gold Creek Park, Woodinville WA 1969 (Zeppelin, Doors..ect), same as above.
Sunshine Festival- 1974 Diamondhead crater (don't remember since they were odd bands)
Alice Cooper- 1977+ 5 times after that.
CalJam II ''77 or 78 I belive...MANY big names but Frank Marino, Joe Perry and Nuggent stand out in my mind.
KISS/Rockets 1979 (GOD DAMN DISCO SHIT!)
Riot, Moll Hatchet, Sabbath and BOC - 1981
Ozzy/Motorhead- 1981 RANDY F'n RHODES!...and every guitar player after him with Ozzy up til "retirement".
'81-'84 almost every local show in Seattle including Culprit, MYTH (Tate), Randy Hansen, Loudness...ect
QueensRyche/Dio
Girlschool/Maiden/Scorps
Judas...Metallica...Crue, blah blah blah...
MERCYFUL who's that yummy biatch on the cross FATE- 1984 Starry night club- Portland (first US show) Backstage :)
*'86-'87...out for needed repairs....*
1988, I think...Sanctuary/Megadick...and Sanctuary twice more
1990ish - Nevermore at some lounge of a Chinese restaurant on 85th and 15NW...(one guitarist)
Nevemore again - downtown Seattle.
King Diamond (partial Fate reunion) SUCKED!

Ummm...what decade are we up to now?....Ah, 21st century...
KISS/Nuggent, KISS/AS, Heart, Cooper and misc other ones which won't be mentioned here...
And I might add, KODO 3 times...just because they are great musicians.

On my "wish list" is Kitaro, GWAR and the new Nevermore lineup HEADLINING. :worship:

Well, I'm 44, so i've been seeing shows for about 30 years. And I'm embarrassed to say that despite living in Seattle for 7 years i've yet to see Nevermore (really just started listening to them recently)...so here goes (number before each band is the number of times i saw them):
