Do you sniff album liner notes?

When I pop a CD in for the first time, one of the first things I do is open up the liner notes and take a whiff. I don't know why.

I just realized I do this tonight, I was listening to Neurosis & Jarboe and thought "hey, I haven't gone through the liner notes yet!" First thing I did was sniff them, before reading anything. That's when I realized that yes, I sniff liner notes. A lot.

Notice my hindu red dot has flown north for the winter.

well I do admit that I may smell the notes sometimes......

I don't think I do, but I do notice it and it is a wonderful, welcoming aroma.

If the booklet was mostly black, I used to take great effort to note smudge it with dirty fingerprints

ugh I hate it when I get fingerprints on a pristine set of liner notes!

Yes, I do it all the fucking time. I do it to new books, newspapper, everything.

I can remember trying to wipe away my fingerprints from liner notes before, I usually read them over before putting the CD in, and I can't remember ever picking up a distinct scent from them...

I do that all. I also sniff cleaning fluid, face products, everything. I've also tasted soap, perfume, etc to see what it tastes like. I also caress spoons too.

Why yes, yes I do. I like the way album and game booklets smell, it rules. I also try to avoid fingerprints and the like on them as well.
