They started as hardcore kids doing metal ( literally, with members from AFTeRSHOCK ( wich totally fucking kicks my ass ) and Outcast ( wich is is bullshit ) but as many ( if not all ) of the hardcore scene on the states ( or anywhere else for that matter ) they were fucking fakes about their stupid "ideology"

Its about lousy management probably, and about stupid americans that cant support ( with their entrances on the gigs ) a better decent usa DT tour. Thats why they are stucked with a crap band and other 3 bands ( inflames is close to be a crap band too but i leave that for another thread ) because thats the only way they can afford to do a usa tour and not end up with red numbers.
Americans should take a long hard look at themselves, and rush into DT's gigs maybe that will prove that a future nicer DT tour can be possible, so prove me and DT's numbers wrong and fill up places.

lol. I didn't even hear killswitch engaged when i went to the show in kansas. i was out talking to in flames an tranquillity when them and sentenced played. what did they sound like?
ya their pretty bad. they just got a new singer, well a few months ago, and their still bad, their singer sings for the hardcore band blood for blood. who are also terrible, and god knows why they play right before in flames, dt and sentenced should be direct support acts, they should get like soilwork to take their slot or even lacuna coil, cus wertnt they originally supposed to play anyways?

on cd they sound very cool,if they suck live I dont know

Killswitch is signed by a richer label (Roadrunner I think), so I am sure they financed a little more of their share of the tour to get that spot. If it helped get DT here I am happy, but they did blow. I too just talked to people and other band members during their set.

what? how is dark tranquillity's tour position affected by stupid americans? they've never toured here before. i think its junk that they are second, but unfortunately that is how the business works. the show in colorado was packed, close to sell out and everyone there was getting into DT> they've proved themselves on this one, and when they come back, its better. killswitch is on a bigger label, toured the states before (as have in flames) and its a strong possiblity that KSE has sold more records over here. sad but true. i was actaully happy DT played second, then i got to go home early and didn't have to sit thru KSE and In flames. but fuck you and your stupid antiamerican bullshit. it has nothing to do with the american fans. its the fuckin business.

So how does not enough people for a DT tour and not enough people for a better DT tour exclude each other? Listen im more than fucking glad that you are willing to prove the entire fucking forum what a pathetic looser you are because you actually looked for the threads, but those comments stand because if there was enough DT audience on the states, DT wouldnt be touring as a fucking opening act with other 3 bands, 2 of them wich are clearly inferior ( inflames and Killswitch Engage ) to them.

I originally got into Killswitch Engage when I went to see Soilwork. I had never even heard of KE. Well, long story short, they blew Soilwork off the stage. I immediately bought their CD "Alive or Just Breathing", which will definitely find it's way into my Top 10 of 2002.
While I would agree that DT is a better band, Killswitch Engage draws more people. At the show in Philly last night, the place was half empty when DT played. By the time KE went on, the place was packed. The folks at the show went just as crazy for KE as they did for In Flames. KE is an excellent band, with an excellent CD. Yes, they have hardcore influences... so what? What their influences are, what type of music they used to write, and what compilation their record labels have put them on is completely meaningless. Their music is excellent, and that's all that matters.

The reason why more people were there for KE is b/c they are a decently know American band youring in America. I personally think they really suck, DT is a much better band then they ever will. DT got fucked out of their position on the tour b/c KE (a band that doesnt even fit the music the rest of the bands play) is more well know.
