i think i saw the use it last (well the gig i went to may 2001) he was playing i believe the white jackson and a black one with a sticker about beating women as far as ai can remeber iw ill have to find the photo albumn where i stashed them

I've seen Opeth twice. The first time was in May 2001 at the Brass Mug in Tampa, and he was playing the Jackson, but I don't recall him playing a Jackson when they played in Orlando this past February. Maybe he broke it or someone stole it?

He doesn't use em because the Floyd doesn't let him detune for Demon of the Fall. Of course, he could just simply use another guitar. But he likes to leave his favorite guitars at home. I was standing right beside him when a buddy of mine asked him this exact question.

Jacksons fucking rule man... it's good to hear its one of his favourites though. Shame we won't see him playing it anymore... oh well, we'll have to settle for PRS and Les Pauls.

The PRS Custom 24's look cool, But nothing beats the look of a Jackson Randy Rhoads.

Well the Custom 24s are amazing. I've never played a better guitar than one of those in my whole life... I even played an 'ugly' orange coloured one but it was amazing. It feels like you're holding an art-piece on your lap, not a guitar.

Not even the Jacksons can compare with that, but they still get my props for IMO being the best metal guitars around, and hey nothing quite has the edge an RR body does
