THIS WEEK ON YOUR CLASSIC METAL SHOW: It's been a little while now since we did some "Rockin' With Dokken", but that's exactly what's in store for THE CLASSIC METAL SHOW faithful this week. Dokken is back with a new release called FROM CONCEPTION LIVE 1981; a live album from the band before they even were known. It's a very early record that was tough to get restored, but the band has done so and are ready to share it with fans. We'll feature a good portion of FROM CONCEPTION in a New Music Listening Party, and Don Dokken will be by to talk about the live CD, the upcoming LIGHTNING STRIKES AGAIN release, and anything else that's going on in the Dokken Camp.
Next up, ex-Dream Theater vocalist Charlie Dominici is back with the next part of his 03 trilogy. As you may remember, the first part was an acoustic release that introduced audiences to the band. For this part, Charlie is back with a full on progressive band and sound which is going to stun many and remind all just why Dream Theater wanted him to lead their band in the first place. We'll do a New Music Listening Party for 03: A TRILOGY: PART 2, and will check in with Charlie to see how his career is going.
Finally, Winger has released a new collection of demos from their first three albums. DEMOS ANTHOLOGY comes hot on the heels of the IV record, and is guaranteed to please the hardcore Winger fans who "can't get enuff" of Kip and company. We'll feature a couple of tracks from this set on the show as well.
