Dokken in Charlotte

Instead of a Dokken reunion with Lynch, I'd rather see Lynch record something with his Lynch Mob line up that was suppose to go on the road with Cinderella this summer. Of course that didn't happen, but it would've killed if it had. George Lynch, Oni Logan, Mark Mendoza, and Tommy Aldridge. :worship:

~Brian~

I was dying to see them live. There is hope though!!

" The reactivated LYNCH MOB — featuring guitarist George Lynch (ex-DOKKEN) and vocalist Oni Logan alongside legendary drummer Tommy Aldridge (OZZY OSBOURNE, TED NUGENT, WHITESNAKE) and bassist Marco Mendoza (WHITESNAKE, THIN LIZZY) — has lined up the following dates: Jul. 12 - Pryor, OK @ Rocklahoma
Jul. 20 - Chicago, IL @ [Private Event]
Jul. 31 - San Juan Capistrano, CA @ The Coach House
Aug. 01 - Las Vegas, NV @ Wasted Space at The Hard Rock Casino
Aug. 02 - Hollywood, CA @ The Key Club
Aug. 16 - Denver, CO @ Hawgfest
Aug. 29 - Houston, TX @ Rock the Bayou Festival"

I hope the dates are expanded from there. Boys gotta have dreams...

Private event, what the heck? Surely they'll be more dates than this added in the future. I've never been able to make a Cinderella show either, so that's why I was really hoping this tour would happen this summer.

On another note, did you realize that Kelly Hansen (ex-Hurricane) was the "new" Foreigner vocalist? I saw that yesterday and now really considering driving to see them somewhere.

Honestly, I'd rather see George release something new that reminds me of his songwriting from days long gone. I really liked his solo album, and Dokken's "Dysfunctional" is one of the most underrated albums I've ever heard from any band.

From wikipedia:
"George released "Let the Truth Be Known" under the band name Souls Of We on May 13, 2008. It features London Legrand (vocals), Johnny Chow (bass), and Yael (drums)"

I heard some clips, not so good IMO. Sounded like a bad version of Motley/LA Guns stuff...

it's not great. I want more of an old school Dokken/Lynch Mob album...not Souls of We....

Here's what I know:

Barry Sparks married a woman from Italy last year, and she hasn't been allowed into the States yet. Until she gets clearance from the government, Barry is staying in Italy with her. He keeps busy by playing with a band called the Bees. Apparently, they're one of the biggest bands in Italy right now, so he's making tons of money playing some of the simplest pop music.

Someone already mentioned Mick Brown's situation. That said, the touring lineup of Dokken this time around is Don Dokken, Jon Levin (guitarist, played on the last two albums), Mike McCarvil (bassist), and Jeff Martin (drummer).

Since Foreigner was also brought up, I should mention that Jeff Pilson is their current bassist. Small world, huh?

As for Souls Of We, I have yet to hear it. I didn't think it would do much for me, based on the lineup. I would love to hear Lynch make an album with the current touring lineup for Lynch Mob, but I doubt that would happen.

Stay metal. Never rust.

Minor detail, but it's actually Chris McCarvill, from a local band X Factor X here in CT. He's also played with House of Lords, Obsession, and Jeff Scott Soto

Actually Jeff Martin is off the tour now, under rather strange circumstances:

EOT Brian ~
If you had any doubts about going to see Kelly fronting Foreigner.....forget about them and GO!! Saw them recently and they were fantastic. Kelly fits in perfectly.....they also have a new greatest hits disc out with a few new tracks and some recent live recordings, which are solid. Hope they put out a new full length disc with Kelly sometime soon.

I'd love to see him fronting the band, but I don't think I can pull it off right now. I'm not a big fan of Foreigner, but I'd simply go to see Kelly, Jeff and Jason. It's a helluva lineup for sure! All of the reviews that I've read have basically said that Kelly fits the music like a glove.
