Right, firstly, Im pretty much a noob at mixing etc, but Im recording my bands demo atm and this is the first song and mix we've gotten done.
Ive just got Eq, a slight delay and compression on the guitars, eq and compression on the bass, and Eq, reverb, delay and compression on the vocals..
I know it probably just sounds like a mess to you guys but Id really appreciate some advice, where Im going wrong, where im going right (If i am at all) etc.
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me out!

Edit:
I played around a bit and came up with this, which im much happier with, i can still see room for improvment though..anyone any tips on how to add "space and air to a mix? :/ I know its more the dry signal that adds that but im recording through a DI and oretty sure theres gotta be dome way to emulate it..

for a start try cutting out some frequencies on rhythm guitars. they are filling out way too much space in the mix.
and HP and LP are mandatory :))

Hey dude, if you are just starting out this is pretty good! Much better than i ever managed :|

As said above, the guitars are taking too much space, they sound muffled in the mids, try cutting around 400-700Hz.

Infact, Ermz has written an awesome guide called poking holes in high gain guitars, it will help you out no end dude!

Thanks lads!
Heres what i got done followin yer advice:

Its still not great, I couldnt change the sample for the snare do i just fattened it up with a boost around 240, then turned it down a little..
I did a HP and LP filter on the guitars and tried cutting out a few frequencys, i cut around 4-600 and 3k a bit..
Thanks about the vocals :) ther bein retracked this week though, the singer wasnt completley happy after he heard it a few times.. :p
