Doomsword - The Eternal Battle

I didn't like the recent Doomsword output to be honest. It wasn't catchy to my ears. However I love Resound The Horn. Anyway the eyeties are back with their epic power doom. Sounds good but again might not be as good as Resound The Horn for me. Still the band is rather enjoyable for you epic metal hounds out there.

I first heard this band on a KIT DVD and the blew me away. Although I like the albums a lot I think I would much prefer seeing this one live.

I only have Resound the Horn and Let Battle Commence but both albums are pure epic warhorses!

Our doom discussions within the last year or so turned me onto this band somewhere along the way. With that said, I don't consider them doom. If you like your metal with an epic, battle feel, then this is the band for you! Great stuff! I think a touring packaging with Doomsword and Blind Guardian would be interesting.

Doomsword is killer. I wish they'd play prog power. They'd be an awesome addition sometime.

Yeah, DoomSword is in the same ilk as Candlemass to me, as a trad doom band that would appeal far beyond the COTD. Lots of melody and catchy choruses. This is a definite blind buy for sure.
