DragonForce - Sonic Firestorm

I've only actually known about Dragonforce since May (2005...i know...WAY too late) but I totally love the insanely fast guitar/drum work. Whenever someone asks me about them I just describe it as "the ultimate D&D music"...you know...the kind that geeks who take D&D really seriously turn on when they've just defeated an elf warrior or something.

Just as a personal opinion that the true, longterm Dragonforce fans may or may not agree with, but I prefer Sonic Firestorm to Valley of the Damned as a whole, but my favourite song is Black Fire (with Fury of the Storm a close second).

I think this album is a fiting follow-up to Valley of the Damned with, like has been said before, the same style but refined and ZP's vocals are just incredible and I hope they can keep it going on their Inhuman Rampage tour when I see them in January.

but how does he play live? i've seen videos and he isnt using electric drums... does he use triggers?

Yeah when i went to see them in September he did use electric drums.

p.s. Vadim's keyboarding is the most incredible thing i have ever...heard (the speakers next to my head got in the way of seeing him). He played Herman Li guitar soloes on his keyboard...blew me away :hotjump: (had to put that smilie in there somewhere).

These guys are the best PowerMetal band ever.. Evening Star has a awesome intro..

BTW: Could anyone give me a couple of links to some Dragonforce Bass Tabs? i can only find tabs for Valley of the Damned =S

Hate it,I have listened to all DragonForces Albums and I dislike them as a band. I even went to see them live and my hate grew even stronger No offence to their fans but they are boring and pretentious, I get very sick of their guitar wankery.

Here's my philosophy: heard one DragonForce song you've heard them all. Every song contains the same generic trash that they've been using their whole careers.

Pretty much agreed. I liked "Valley of The Damned" :headbang: but all the other stuff is generic crap.

Hello to you all,

Please check out a band called Prospekt. They are a mixture of Dream Theater, Symphony X and Pain of Salvation. Epic guitar solos and great vocals all with the combined average age of 23! Definitely one for the future, or even the present.
