Here's another one. Released on Prophecy Records, it's contemporary black metal. Hard to describe since it takes a LOT of listening to fully appreciate it. You will not appreciate it in a 30 second spin, give it some time and recognize it's on Prophecy (and you know their legacy).

Think of it as Emperor ("Anthems era") meets something Neige would be involved in a la Amesouers. :kickass:

Together with the signing of Negura, and releasing the new Helrunar, I guess Prophecy are going the harsher route with bands who keep one foot firmly planted in the celtic folklands.

I can't see the myspace through my firewall but they have a link from their website.

Hmmmm.... digging this one a lot more. This has plenty of potential, though I'd love to hear the songs at a higher bit rate. I'm really enjoying that dramatic sound.

If your secretary is available later, please make an appointment for me. :tickled:

*fimbulwinter

that's probably the harshest track on the album, pure BM blitzkrieg. Odd that they would upload that song since it's not entirely representive...go figure. It's pretty good though even with it's blasting.

not sure about the other one (it's not on their album)

if I could I'd joosendit or something. But I can't. So I won't. Maybe later. :loco:

This looks like released back in 1996. Dreadful logo, gay paintshop blue, Petagno-style painting, amateurish song titles. Adds up to a cool album, I'll wager. And yeah I'm glad Prophecy started spicing up their roster again with bands that actually do make dark/deep music. This whole The Vision Bleak/Nucleus Torn/Klimt 1918 carnival was becoming tiresome.

Right, fucking well bumping this as well with some jewsendits.

Let's start at the beginning shall we?

track 1: "Zum Haff Hinaus...."

Give up 4 mins of your life for something seriously this good. When you're done with this, I'll give you something else that will fucking blow your mind and yet different to the first track.

wait 'till you hear the other track too. Again, think "Anthems..." era but completely different and yet the same. :loco: no but really, it's that same EPIC vibe in all it's frenzy and calm.

the whole album is probably going to go unnoticed by the masses and probably won't be recognized for about 2 years. And then one day someone is going to search for a thread and find me going on and on and on...hello.

Nice. \m/

By the way, the "Gebaren..." track gets better with multiple listens. The entire album takes a few spins actually, it's not easy listening by any means.

Keen to hear what others think too. Most folks here should dig this.
