Drawing of Russell Allen

Nice! I like the lighting on his face. Gives a "V-ish" look.

Just one thing that bothers me...his iris on his left eye. It looks like its falling out of the socket....unless you did that on purpose :u-huh:

It's not a perfect drawing, I know...but unfortunately it's going to be a long time before I get a chance to do a new version, because I'm gonna be REAAAALLLLLY busy for these next several months.

But anyway, thanks for looking! :-)

Van Gogh? LOL, that's purely coincidence, I can assure you! ;) Sure, submit it to the club. :)

Metropolis--I'd say it took me somewhere around 3 hours to do it, give or take 1. I wasn't looking at a clock! ;)

Thanks. :)

It's interesting...I didn't notice the old-fashioned look until people started pointing it out. But now I can! Somebody suggested on DA that it looked like a woodcut. Or, I can see now the resemblance to a 19th century book illustration. I think the fact that I didn't smooth it out gives it that look, instead of the digital smoothness people are used to these days.

Cool drawing! It does have an older look, which is cool. I enjoy drawing some famous faces I like as well. Isn't it cool when you complete a piece and you get a great result you didn't anticipate at first when you were creating?
