Need your fresh ears again on this cover for Cybion's bonus CD. It's a Dream Theater cover from the album "When Dream & Day Unite". All opinions are welcome, good or bad, so please shoot.

Sounds really great Brett! I'm not sure if its me, but the vocals sound a little dark. Not sure of the best words to describe what I mean, but it kind of sounds like some more highs in the vocals could bring them more upfront.

Sounds better now I love the separation between the bass and guitars, what was the chain for the bass? I think the vocals could come up a notch, but I think thats more of a preference thing as there's nothing exactly wrong with where they are now. Really awesome job man!

Hey guys thanks a lot for your comments and sorry for my lack of response but I'm busy on another mix at the moment so I had to put this aside.

To answer your questions, the lead singer is David Scott McBee, amazing vocalist, very powerful, I so wish I could sing like that...! He sang with Teer, Rocket Scientist and ShockOpera among others. I was not there when he recorded so I don't know what they used. For the bass, it's an old Ibanez SDGR direct into the Fireface 800 instrument input.

I'll update this when I'll have time to complete this record... (garg)
