Drinking at lunchtime should be the law

With regards to drinking on the job, I'd recommend people pay a special service to move anything of theirs that is irreplaceable that they plan to put into storage. The warehouse guys (at least at the various places I've seen) are usually working on a second case by the time lunch rolls around.

hrm... yeah drinking on the job is pretty irresponsible, it doesn't matter what your job is.

if you're working on a project for a client, you're surely not going to help the company or the client by being shitfaced when you do it. you'll just give a hindering hand to the staff budget and the work deadline. on ya.

its a fairly selfish thing to do really.

Hmmm... I think it depends on the job... I've been to many business lunches with my boss that involved some drinking... If he's ok with it, then I don't see a problem with it... In a case where you are not supposed to be drinking at all, it's a bad thing... (Don't know if that's this guys case or not...)

Now that I think about it some more, if I can ever get my business up and running, I'll have planned drinking lunches... Sometimes you need a break in the routine... Any good boss knows this... (Obviously, this sort of thinking doesn't apply to places that involve the use of heavy machinery, etc, lol!)

Since when did this forum become the yardstick for morality and responsibility?

Everyone's so well behaved!

There's never a good excuse to be drunk. It's stupid, it impairs your judgement. And even if you're not one to care about other people, you probably have a self preservation instinct, so is it really worth risking your life just so you can have some beer?

Golly, I'd never thought of it that way. In fact, I don't believe I'll begin to do so now!

Admittedly, drinking at work is a rather baffling and counterproductive (at least to the future of your employment) thing to be doing, and as a teacher, probably inadvisable....

That's why god invented weekends!

You don't have to get all sarcastic and mean, ok? That's just my opinion. I'm not asking anyone to DO it. And I'm sorry if I didn't phrase it to your liking or something. Jesus.

Gee thats funny, i almost forgot to make fun of you again, o wait a second, i dont really need to you stinking drunk, no one can help it but laugh if you think drinking on the job doesnt really matters i mean fuck, why dont you drink in court when you get sued im shure it wont matter either.

I fail to see either the sarcasm, wit, intelligence or point behind this post
