Hi all, a little tip i been doing on drums for quite a while now to give more punch, for protools users get out the lo-fi plugin and slightly give it a little distortion, gives that analogue console saturation effect, works great on kik snare and toms and also room mics !

I've been using revalver mkIII for drum distortion lately. Just do an aux track and blend the distorted track to the undistorted one. I prefer the bluesbraker head to do this. Try it out! It's good for getting that extra grit you might need.

Yep, been using this for years now :p

I tend to hover around 1.5 on the distortion on snare and toms.
