After I watched this, it took me five minutes to get to close my mouth... This guy's a machine or what?

Linda, I'm no drumer, so what do you think? He's a show-off or he's good?

He's both. It's drum corps, after all. Flash goes with the program. But also remember, he uses a snare with a kevlar head and pulled extremely tight, to give a faster rebound. I doubt he or anyone else could achieve that level of speed on a standard snare.

Check out this month's Modern Drummer. Patrick is featured in the back, where there's a big piece on stick twirling and adding flash to your playing. He gets quite a bit of space, actually. He's been a 3-time champion in drum corps snare drumming contests and is only 22. Very scary.
