Dual rectifier without tube screamer - first try

I' ve just tried to record a new song with a dual rectifier dual channel. I'ts my first try with the mesa.
There's no overdrive or tube screamer in the input...but I think I'll soon buy a tube screamer.

Some post eq applied...
unfortunatly there's some weird noise in the guitars...maybe I should use a noise gate during recording???

I really can't tell what's going on, the drums kinda over power the guitar....

Not bad, very pantera-ish tonewise!
a tube screamer would add more tightness, but I think is working goood even this way without the screamer.

I'm waiting to record the bass guitar...

moreover I've used the Gclip plugin to make it louder...I think it works perfectly, even if I'm not a loudness war fanatic.

Put some bass in there dude... you have a entire mix besides a bass guitar, which makes the mix sound incomplete...

I find the guitars a bit too scratchy for my liking... but it is very dimebag'ish indeed, like kaomao noticed as well.
