Bands that fit either of those are perfectly fine.

I've also found that a couple bands, like Regurgitation and Splattered Cadaver mix both styles into an awesome proto slam sound, which would be great too... but I doubt too many like that exist.

You've probably already heard them, but in case you haven't, Pyaemia and Pyrexia (sermon of mockery) are probably the best Suffocation-type bands. I guess Severe Torture would be the closest thing (that is decent) I could think of to early Cannibal Corpse worship, with Feasting on Blood and Misanthropic Carnage being good albums.

I've heard of all three bands... granted I havent heard those ST albums forever... I'll definitely go back to them.

Any cannibal corpse worship would be great actually... I know alot of people here dont like them... but I've been going through their entire discography... and I have to admit that I really like them.

lol, I was actually debating whether to recommend Cannabis Corpse. Also try Ritual of Infinity by Morpheus Descends if you haven't already.

You could try Diabolic Possession, though I think their stuff would be difficult to find as they were never signed to a label of any note.
