The ER-20 plugs don't seem to distort the music as much as the foam ones, so those are what I use. I shouldn't say distort...alter is a better word. The foams ones seems to have certain frequencies that the cut out a lot more than others, and in some cases, I can't hear some section of the music very well.
That and 30 years of motorcycle riding has trashed a few frequency ranges pretty well.
