Echoes by Camel and similar music

I was wondering if someone could help me with this. I was listening to the song Echoes by Camel just now, and as always when listening to this song I was struck by how wonderful and intense and beautiful and moving the intro is (goes on to about 1:40).

So I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who knows if there's another band/artist who makes music like that, with that type of feeling? Or if there are other Camel songs like that (because as you may have noticed, their discography is about as far away from small as you could get, and I haven't listened through it completely yet)?

I don't remember that part in Echoes right now... but "Ice" is IMO the most beautiful Camel song. do you know it?

I downloaded their discography twice and it's always stuck in 97% so there are a lot of parts missing.
Check out Sahara off the Rajaz album, Ice as Alex said, Stationary Traveller (i'm sure u will like in case in never heard it before), emm, what else...For today (A nod and a wink).

first thing that crossed my mind was Deep Purple.
The swedish band Witchcraft has made some similiar music too (important to get the right band, as there are shitloads of bands called Witchcraft).
also thought of Jeff Van Dyke (the dude who made the music for all the NHL games before 2001 I think. he's the master of metal-riffs
wlse than that, I'd say Frank Zappa and Steve Vai.

EDIT: now when listening to Echoes I noticed how Jeff van Dyke is way off, but he's still cool.
