ECHOTERRA - FEAT. JONAH W (PYRAMAZE), YAN LEVIATHAN (AVIAN)

Hi Everyone,

I would like to let you know about ECHOTERRA - a side project that Jonah and I have been working on for the past couple of years. We are currently recording the album and are targeting a 2009 release.

Our good friend John Gensmer (Epicurean) did the drums and on vocals we have Suvi Vertinen from Sweden; she sang live back up vocals for Therion.

We have a couple of very special guests that you are all very familiar with that will be on the album; we will announce them later on.

Okay; I guess I need to clarify this before this turns into another "Bill Hudson Is In Yet Another Band Thread".

Bill is a VERY good friend of mine and Jonah's and he is simply doing a couple of guest solos on the cd. You are all very aware of what bands he's in and I can assure that this is NOT another one. Clear enough?

Yan, with the latest Avian release, you have become one of my favorite guitar players. With all due respect to the creative genius of one Bill Hudson, you don't need any help in making some of the best metal music these ears have ever heard. Well, that combined with the otherworldly wails of Lance King seals the deal for me. AVIAN RULES! 11/10 Avian for PPUSA XI!

Well I certainly appreciate your very kind words; thank you!

I have been extremely fortunate with the musicians that I've had the privilege to work with; Lance King, David Ellefson, Jonah W, Bill Hudson, and others; they've helped tremendously in taking the music to a much higher level then when I had originally written it.

So, that's why I asked Bill to do the solos on the Echoterra; I know that he will make the cd that much better and that's all that matters! Additionally, he is very easy to work with and that's always a HUGE plus ;-)

Right on, Yan! You, Jonah, and Bill on the same project will certainly make your forthcoming album one of the top metal releases of this year! I can't wait to hear it!

We've uploaded the first two tracks of our upcoming cd, The Law Of One. You can now listen to the first 12 minutes of the album at our myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/echoterra

The Law Of One will be available in North America and on line via CD Baby and iTunes this September and will be released by Blinding Force Recordings. European and Japan released dates will be announced at a later date.
