eddie van halen vs randy rhoades

Rhoads... every single song on both the Ozzy albums he was on were/are classic as opposed to VH which not all songs were... and I dont think Rhoads chops were sloppy... with the exception of Tapping VH didnt really do much IMO.. ok maybe the whammy bar... but Rhoad's took what VH did and did it better and mixed in classical and other influences including more modal playing..

Yeah, musically i Love RR, his style and note choice was unmatched, but he sounded sloppy. He would layer multiple guitar tracks, and you can hear the different tracks conflicting cuz they're just a tiny bit off

Rhoads, easily. He did get sloppy but his I love his tone and his music is just more inverntive... EVH didn't invent tapping, he just used it alot when noone else was, and tapping has never impressed me anyway, as it is pretty easy, at least to me.
lol

Eddie > you

remember that

I just don't hear his sloppiness in the Tribute album.... perhaps on Blizzard of Ozz album but definetly not on Diary of Madman album... and the sloppiness if any was due more to the recording process then his playing IMO...
