Edguy - Hellfire Club

Hey ProgMetalFan they are such a great band and their self titled cd has been in my cd player nearly constantly for a couple of years. Anyway check out www.ensiferum.com
To my ears think of say Children of Bodom vocals mixed with viking and some folk influences and power metal and you may have an idea. Someone might be able to explain what they sound like better than me but that is how I would explain it.
Oh and be praised they have a new cd being released within the next couple of months. Yippee :hotjump:

I don't like the vocals. The music is good though, but the vocals ruin it for me.

I'll go with Pharoah on this thread - throw some Kansas into the player and hear some truly great works. That's one of the kickers on Rediscovery Pt. 2 - the Kansas influences slap me in the face so hard I sometime have to check the CD to see whom I'm actually listening to.

I was never a huge fan of older edguy stuff, but like others, a huge Tobias Sammet fan. This CD is definitely their best cd to date. In my opinion, which is probably wrong, but its their only cd that I actually really like.

And as soon as my belated order from the end is finally delivered, i'll be able to comment on into eternity's new album.

Just felt like re-living this thread coz i am SOLD on this album now, Tobi is now one of ma favorite singers ;) 'The Piper Never Dies' is THE best song, and 'Mysteria' is a close second, and woo hoo I just love it, completely hooked.

Of course I'll wait till the end of 2004 before stating which I thought was the album of the year, but this shit rocks!

Just Finally got the album, and I must say. It fucking RULES.

Deff. Album of the Year so far, and prolly will be all year.

How can you beat Lavatory Love Machine?

Power metal songs about sexing a stewerdess in the bathroom of a plane- WHO CAN BEAT THAT?!

SX probably.
