How does this sound so far? I think I've reached the limit with the setup I'm using. I use the direct out on my amp for the guitars because I don't have a mic, I use fruityloops for the drums, and I do all of the recording/mixing in cool edit pro... so I don't really have the best stuff to work with. It gets the job done though

Is it too loud? I think it'll probably clip a little on some systems.

Drums were not so good....in all aspects....
The track was nice though...i liked it....reminded me of old paradise lost in the intro...

Yeah, I know the drums are shit. They sound sequenced, they aren't mixed well, and the samples suck. I've lost my patience with fruityloops, I'll be using something different soon. I'm trying to find better drum samples, but good free ones are hard to come by and most of the links in the drum sample sticky on this forum point to nonexistent threads or threads with broken links

Glad you like the music though! :) My songwriting on guitar is solid, I just wish I could present it better with some good drums.

Thanks for digging my tune guys. I started recording to use it as a songwriting tool. Eventually I decided I wanted to put some drums in, and I started showing some of my recordings to people and they liked them. From there I wanted to make my recordings sound as good as they could, and so here I am. I don't know much about this stuff so any input is appreciated.

Thanks for the samples Gojira_, they'll definitely come in handy. The samples I'm using don't have ANY velocity layers, so anything with any amount of velocity layers is better.

As for the lack of bass, I can't EQ the track right and get any bottom end without the kicks thumping way too much. I think this won't be a problem with better samples.
