Electric Messiah

Gentleman, I don't know if you are a prog nerd or even what a prog nerd is for that matter. But you ARE one of my beer gods!

LOL :kickass: I'll keep you updated with my beer adventures!

Shred is MY beer god... he is much more knowledgeable than I!

If I've offended anybody with my bitching, I apologize. This was never meant to be personal. I am upset because I have been a SX fan for 8 years, yet I've never witnessed the release of a new gem.

Unless I am in the minority, in which case I shall quit listening to music forever.
Very unlikely, but just in case: Godspeed to your highbrow stance on music. Nothing spells PROG quite like riffing on other people's opinions. What kind of chorus do you enjoy? "Out Of The Ashes"? "Absence Of Light"? Or any other old-ish song I find tacky and forgettable?

yeah man, Out of the Ashes is not an enjoyable song at all IMO. Absence of Light is good.

Does anyone else think that Electric Messiah is SX's heaviest song? I think it might be. I know there is no strict definition of "heavy" but yea...

I don't consider Electric Messiah heavy at all + I'd give that title to King Of Terrors probably. A vote could be mildly amusing on this subject, but I don't think EMessiah should even be nominated ;E

AHhhhHHhHHHHHhhh. I'm going to go kill myself now. FML.

Are you serious?? Most intense riffs and best chorus the band has EVER made. Please retract this statement before I die a slow painful death. Unless I am in the minority, in which case I shall quit listening to music forever.

Though I won't convey my feelings with the same zeal...I do agree completely. The chorus of Electric Messiah is actually what makes me DISlike the song. It sounds forced, like the music and lyrics were written completely separately and then wedged together (for further research on this topic, see the last couple Megadeth releases).
