Okay guys i am about to rip my freakin hair out trying to figure out how to do some of the electronic stuff that i've heard joey and some of you do. :hotjump: For example i can never get any of the vocal or guitar stutters to sound like i want.
Could some of you point me into the right direction with the electronic side of this stuff?
I have some pretty decent vsti's (massive, nexus, vanguard)
I dont have any electronic samples that im happy with.
And tips for technique would help a lot. The whole stutter thing is whats getting me the most. Do you cut the audio up or do you automate it?

Any advice would be much appreciated :worship:

I normally take something like a guitar track and send it through whatever plugins I want, and then cut it and automate it. Normally like a bitcrusher, distortion, ect.

The stutter things you're talking about can be done with various ways. I know that some use a plugin called Glitch. I do them manually by deleting the second part of each note that i want to make it sound like this (16ths - 32nds), depending on how fast I want it to be-sound.

I used this technique here (there are various stutters in the song, but also check at 2:37 to see the speed build-up): [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aMWONacJ90&feature=plcp[/ame]

If you feel confused, upload a short clip and I'll do it for you, uploading some screenshots to see it how it looks like

Thanks a lot, I'll give it a shot. I'll post a clip when I get it done. By the way, the production on that song is amazing.
