drum vsti for industrial/house beats

Do any of you guys know of any free vsti's that can do really heavy electronic beats? I would like to have one for remixing a metal song, just for fun. Any suggestions are most welcome :)
 
Yeah, I'd be curious about this too; I've always loved those industrial-esque breaks Trym cooks up on Zyklon's "World ov Worms"
 
There are probably hundreds of smaller ones out there. But I think from the bigger ones, you could try out Spectrasonics Stylus RMX. For a leaner (and cheaper) one, try Fruity Loops 6. The stock samples are quite decent. If you're into a bit more old school approach, try out the free Jeskola Buzz Machines. Of course, for proper sounds use the real things: Roland TR-808 and TR-909. Most industrial guys make their own sounds from scratch by combining a lot of different things. In fact, using stock sounds is quite a faux pas in some circles :lol:
