so I did a cover of this song.
my mix down is like adequate at best. why doesnt it sound pro as fux?!
can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Hey man - leads are too loud, and have too much verb. Rythm guitars and bass don't sound too bad. The bass is not too loud either - take the leads down and with less reverb, then bring everything else up a bit.

Did you do all of the music here - even the intro?

yesh its all me except the samples of Lucy talking. thats Lucy. i'm gonna try to mess with the automation a bit. the leads have strange issues with being drowned out at certain points. on this track, i sort of forgot automation even existed.

I think it seems a bit dragging, could benefit from more tempo and the mix could use a lot more low end and some doublekick action
