just like skepticism, summoning is a band that really didnt need a tribute album because no one else can do what theyre doing

Agreed. The only thing these tribute albums accomplish is a rekindling desire to listen to the original source material.

words don't really rely on their medium to convey any part of the atmosphere in the same was music does, at least to my ears (and eyes.) i just can't get any sort of medieval/archaic vibe from this kind of stuff.
