A quick question sorry if it's been answered before. I have three Bc richs all with Emgs 81 and 85 in the usual 81 bridge 85 neck config and read somewhere 85's are cool in the bridge, so with soldering iron in hand I'm going to swap them but before I burn the house down are the 81's much cop in the neck? If James or anyone has an opinion it would be much appreciated.
Cheers.
P.s just got a rather tasty Bootleg from 95 with James playing with Testament and his playing is f**kin immense.

81 in the neck sounds rather tasty imo, has a nice almost single coil (more P90) feel to it.

speaking of pickups,i just bought Air norton and Blaze dimarzios for my 7string carvin,i hope they would sound better than the carvin pickups:confused: i wanted to buy emg 707 but the difference was 80$ ,and my financial situation is fucked up, so i bought the dimarzios.

I wanna replace my stock EMGS with an 81 and 85......but I need a better amp first, my crate is good for jamming, but in a band situation, it sucks...

and recommendations for a decent, but affordable halfstack?

Hey can you please help me...

I just bought a Fender Showmaster Scorpion guitar

http://www.bbmusic.bc.ca/fender/0261800_md.html

And so far i like the sound ( pretty bassy actually ), the pint here is that i have a set of emgs (81,85) and im not sure as to change them for the originals ( 1 Fender Black CanyonTM Humbucker (Neck), 1 Fender Atomic IITM Humbucker (Bridge))..

I know i should make a switch an dtest them both but the problem is that i bought the EMG´s of a pawn shop and there arent any quick connects here, and well im not good with the soldering wire so i would have to pay to do this.

Thanks any help will be appreciaed.
