My band are gonna try to play some Emperor songs at a battle of the bands at HS and I'm trying to get a good Emperor like sound. We're gonna play some ATTWAD songs and we need that kinda "twangy" distortion sound... not exactly typical black metal distortion.
ALSO, we want to play the second and third songs from IX Equilibrium... (Decrystallizing Reason, An Elegy of Icaros)... and those songs (or that entire album rather) use a different type of tone from that seen on ATTWAD.
I've got a MT-2 Boss Metal Zone and I'll be using a friend's amp... it's a Roland Cube 60... what settings on both the stomp box and amp should I use to get both an ATTWAD and IX Equilibrium sound?
