Engl e530 Direct tone test

Hello, my first post here. I just bought an Engl e530 preamp and i wanted some opinions on my tone. e530>podxt>pc>impulse. The rest is Addictive/basspodxt.

Im just using the pod as an interface, i turn off all settings besides the reverb. Im using separate impulse files im my daw. I think i need to bring down a highs down a bit, and the impulse files im using add alot of fizz. I thanks you for listenings fellas.

I find the tone as it's suppose to be for an e530.

Nice and tight.

But you can sure get it to ''breathe'' more.Different impulse maybe?

Thanks man, Ya i think im gonna try a different impulse combo tonight, its add to much fizz it seems, ive used other ones that were less trebley.

Ill turn up the treb a little and re record it here in a few. My ears getting worn out.

I turned the treble down 3 hours because someone said the tone was too fuzzy, the treble knob works more like a presence knob ive noticed.

Not a bad tone. With the right mix it would really shine.

Some of that fizz can be good in a mix.

the pod input weakens the guitar signal in a bad way. IMHO the e530 sound looses a lot of power this way

Ya i dont know about all that... I get a solid signal going thru my podxt, plus i can apply my reverb settings.

Why do you even bother adding reverb through the pod, when you can use a much better one in your DAW?

And the clip sounds good, I guess, but verrrrrrry old school thrash, which I personally am not a fan of, time for an impulse change I'd say. Cool riffing though!

Yeah, I tried those impulses a few days ago and they are killer. Best reverbs I ever heard.
