ENGL PB + MBOX2 Mini = Arch Enemy Compilation Clip!

Man, your Powerball sounds hot. Sounds like you've got it set well enough. The mic placement might need some slight adjustment to find that sweet spot, though. ULTIMATE GUITAR TABS ARCHIVE | 200,000+ Guitar Tabs, Bass Tabs, Chords and Guitar Pro Tabs! <that could be your friend with some of the off notes.
What cab was it running into?
On a bit of a side note, seeing as you too are from Melbourne, are you in any bands?

:heh: Cheers.

The Cab is a Marshall 1960A (Stock GT-75's).

No band at the moment mate. :loco:

Yeah, it seems to work for rhythm really well. Though, after another listen, i'd say it could use a bit more beef, and not so much presence.
What channel/ modes were you using for the clip?

Channel 3

Gain 5, Bass 8, Mids (Open) 8, Treble 7, Pre 8, Presence 5, Depth 6, Master 1

Here is another clip I made. Some guitar is missing

Clayman on the PB

Awsome cheers. I've got a mate using one, so I like to see how other people set theirs.
RE: mic placement, id say that you could go a bit closer to the dust cap to get some more body into the tone. Like I said before, it sounds like a good tone, just not being captured as well as it could be....though, soundclick fucks things up a bit.

Cheers for the Reply. The only reason why I dont go closer is im scared of it being too harsh and trebly.

Yeah, it is a pretty tough balance, but I guess that's the fun in engineering/ recording. If thoae clips were raw, or you didn't use any high shelf EQ, then I'd say your tone might be a slight bit toppy anyway, maybe you could bring down the treble a bit and move the mic like 0.5- 1 cm closer to the dustcap?
