Engl Savage SE tubes

Hey all, I need some advice/personal thoughts on this. I recon the time has come for my Engl Savage SE to get some new tubes, and wanted to know what you guys would throw in there. I read something on an italian forum, and a guy was talking about JJ, EH, Sovtek, chinese... What would you say?All thoughts welcome!

RFT! Not as an annoying blanket statement, but particularly an RFT ecc83 (12ax7) in the input stage makes a massive improvement to ENGLs I reckon. Certainly did on mine, I can't play through other peoples' now. Makes it much richer, a little warmer, and gets rid of most of the dark buzzy feel that bugs me with others.

Aside from that, I have Svetlana 6L6GCs and Harma STR ecc8s in the rest, and they do the job fine too. It's a Fireball though not a savage, so you should probably experiment some.
