Enigma

[Orion Crystal Ice]

Most people will remember the project for spawning some decent but pretty cheesy and overplayed stuff in the early 90's, like 'Sadeness' or 'Return to Innocence' (if you think you haven't heard them somewhere, just look them up and see). However, with the last 3-4 albums especially, it's become this almost proggy melting pot of 'new age', rock, 'electro-lounge', trip-hop, and a bunch of other things into this wonderful pop mix. I play this stuff at least twice every day. A lot of people will hate this, and it is pop at heart, but pop would be amazing if all pop was like Enigma IMO.

If it's any consolation to you, I am pretty interested in checking out some Enigma albums at some point. I've only heard a few isolated songs, but they sound like they have potential.

Sorry man, this stuff really doesn't do it for me. The closest I come to electronic pop music is Peter Gabriel.

I find them to be fairly boring. I just think that there's better electronic music.

I've been listening to Enigma for about 10 years or more now and I absolutely love em. They're on my iPod wrapped by Emperor and Enslaved and they aren't going anywhere! I like to listen to it sometimes when falling asleep.

Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi! Is an awesome album. Especially songs like Roundabout etc.
