I think this cd runs for about 10 bucks at my local cd store. As most of you probably know, it only has 4 tracks, one of which is on their next album. I'm wondering, would you all say that it's worth it for me to pick this up?

If you don't have the rest of the albums, i'd say go for one of their others, as i consider this one to be their less good..
On the other hand, if you have the other cds, and you just want to finish your DT collection, go for it.
An info: if you absolutely want it to play on your pc, be careful, coz some copies are pc-protected from Osmose productions... I had trouble with the copy i bought, and i had to return it to the store and pick smt else up. :(

But don't let this stop you from checking the band out if you already haven't... Where i live, both "Enter Suicidal Angels" and "The Gallery" cost 14 euros, and even tho ESA i don't consider that good, "The Gallery" (which btw is a full album) is considered to be a masterpiece by most. :)

Sorry for double-posting, just realised you're most probably familiar with the band...

Anyway, also wanted to point out that on this cd you'll find their worst track ever ("Archetype"), but also 2 very good songs, which i like a lot.
The choice is yours. :)

duh. :p :p

@squeemu: of the 4 tracks on esa, number 1 you'll also get on the mind's i (which is more worth buying if you don't have it yet), and number 4 you'll hate with every fiber of your body. :) the other two songs are amazing, imo, but i guess it all depends on how much you like band in general to decide whether you should buy esa for these two tracks alone. if you really have an interest in dt then i'd say support the band and go for it.

I heard Enter Suicidal Angels last night - this week I have gotten all legit DT albums from a friend and I am trying to sort out which ones I like and which ones I don't. ESA seems to be in the last cathegory... Archetype is (in my opinion) a waste of space, since it's not a proper techno/dance remix and sure it's not a metal song... it is somewhere in between and it sounds like they were trying to experiment with "continental" sounds (maybe because they have a wide German fanbase? Sure they don't have much of a followig in Eastern Europe as far as I know) but didn't have the guts to pull it off. You are right, the other three songs are good, but I think it comes last in my preference scale so far.

yeah, prince_in_red, i'm also into industrial/techno/electronic music but i'm not impressed by archetype. a proper remix of a song, now, that would be different. but i guess at that time the whole industrial scene was a big question mark for the band. not so today, though, i assure you. ;)
