Just picked up the dvd last night! And for 9 bucks no less! Got to admit, The special features were awesome. Its amazing to see what goes into making those movies, Hats off to ILM and lucas, Seein that little green bastard kick so much ass again was very cool!! Saw it opening night and when he broke out that light sabre, the whole crowd stood up and cheered, It was cool:grin: Cant wait for the next instalment but it seems like lucas has a lot of ground to cover yet. Any thoughts on the next movie?

Hmm personally I think the last two Star Wars movies, have been a great disappointment.
The only cool thing in Episode II was when Yoda fought with the lighsabre :p

I think the guy who played Anakin was a horrible actor, he didnt show any real feelings or anything, it was so obvious that it was an act.

Im not really looking forward to the next movie either, guess it will be as bad as the last two :(

Yup, attack of the clones sucked. Cool parts where when they fought in the arena, the battle at the end, and definitely when yoda fought with the lightsabre. But the rest of the movie blew.

AotC was ok, huge improvement from Phantom Menace. Only the "well make a videogame from this" scene in the droid factory was so bad it nearly made me weep. Oh... and the dialogue before Yoda's match

I'm hoping the next film to be rather good with Anakin turning evil and all, but I would really like to see someone else directing those movies than Lucas... he sucks.

I loved AOTC!! One of the movies of the year for me!

I bought the DVD the other day, started watching the extras after finishing with the LOTR discs... I don't know why, but I found these and the extras for the Phantom Menace just a wee bit too dull. Maybe it's because the tech guys all seem to be up themselves, maybe it's that EVERYTHING is done in front of a blue screen, or maybe it's George Lucas's ridiculous hairstyle... but I find them a bit boring. "R2D2 - Beneath The Dome" is good though :)

Well, I bought the DVD a couple of days ago. I've watched about half of it before falling asleep. I haven't tried to re-watch it again...

It sure looks pretty, and Natalie Portman sure is nice to look at... but the movie is just so fake and seemed to drone on and on...

I'll give it another try later...

Circuit City!!! Woo Hoo!!! So for the money i really cant complain:D With the money i saved I got Spider-Man:D

Star Wars is known for bad acting and cheesy lines.

"It's a nightmare!!!!"...C-3PO

Yeah but the numbers show it, People love the series i guess. I would agree that not every moment is memorable however, But hey, Its starwars.

It USED to be Star Wars... until they realized something by Return of the Jedi... Now it's just the marketing machine for Lucas's toy licensing... :p

I vented my thoughts on the first two episodes in the Best of the year/most anticipated thread. If episodes 1 and 2 really would have been the first of the series, the series never would have made it to 4, 5, and 6.

Yes, the acting was bad in the original trilogy, but the characters were likable and interesting. Lucas has been trying so hard to make a digital world, that he succeeded in taking everything that is "human" out of the movie.

Even with these ones bein enough to piss people off, Ive heard rumours of lucas doing a television series or star wars. But then again, who knows:)

Actually tv-series might work a lot better than these new movies. Tv-series have more time to develop the characters and at least I expect lot less from tv than multimillion dollar movies. Example: First season of Farscape is running here... the acting mainly sucks and the episodes tend to get a bit repetitious (somebody has something wrong in the head and the ship needs something), but I still watch it every week, just because it's the best sci-fi in tv since Babylon 5.

Well, Maybe it would go over pretty good, But we'll just have to see what the hell hes gonna do, that guys goin a million different directions all the time:)

Oh oh oh! I finally saw Episode ][ a couple days ago and I loved it! It was basically the same shite as Episode I, but with more/better action and a plot both more complex and far better executed. I'm one of the few that happens to think the teenage Anakin was actually quite a convincing actor. Yeah, he had his shite moments, but I think other parts were powerful and convincing enough to make-up for it, like after he brings his mum's body back from the sand peeps and he goes into a tantrum in front of amidala, I thought that was a really visceral scene. Oh oh oh oh!!! And I LOVED it when Sammy Jacko slaughtered daddy Boba Fett! I HATE those two bounty-hunter fuckers! They're such arrogant cowards! I almost laughed when I imagined the wonderful pain his 'son' would have felt when he saw his 'dad' decapitated by the righteous fury of the Jedi!!! AWESOME shit man!
