Hey there,
those of you who were active members of the Katatonia board here on UM back in the days may remember that several years ago we (the late Florian and me, Lars) introduced our band here called Escape The Day and the album "ghostless".
This music is first and foremost no metal, but from what I have seen and read, it has pleased metal fans as well as fans of other genres such as slow-core and in general people with a taste for atmospheric and maybe also "sad" music. On our album ghostless you can hear many influences, among others of bands like Katatonia, Slowdive, Antimatter, The white birch and also singer-songwriter stuff (like the late Jason Molina for example). However, I think that we succeeded in creating a unique sound overall.
I would be happy if you took a listen and hopefully you might even like the music.
